How It All Started
Our annual Door Donation Drive is taking place November 22 – December 9 this year! We use this opportunity to give back to children in need. Tyler Cassidy founded Dr. Door Company in Lancaster, OH, and he instantly felt welcomed in the community. So, he decided to give back!
Having been a teacher for some time, Tyler’s wife knew firsthand that children in the area often went without warm coats and gloves for the bitter winter. She suggested contacting the Ohio State program, Job and Family Services, to see how they could be of help.
With that, the annual Door Donation Drive idea was born!
What Happened Next?
Job and Family Services stated that they need warm blankets, jackets, hats, gloves, and pajamas for children. This sparked Dr. Door to set up donation boxes all around the community, making sure every child stays warm this winter. The donations have continued to grow each year!
